Popcorn Cake Pops!!!

I was asked by a good friend to make cake pops for her son's 5th birthday party. He was having a movie theater party so we thought it would be fun to make popcorn pops!!!
Here they are ready to be devoured by the kiddos!!!

So, here is how I made them:

1- bake your cake, let it completely cool, crumble it
2- make your frosting, mix a little with the crumbled cake and make your balls

3- melt your chocolate
4- prep your marshmallows. Using mini ones, cut each in half

5- using a pointy tool to hold marshmallow, dip on side on the melted candy

6- attach it to the cake ball, make a circle on the edge

7- this is what your cake ball should look like:

8- dip the stick in candy and stick into cake ball.

9- once candy hardens (I put in fridge for a little bit). Dip the cake balls in the candy, I do it from side to side.

10- using a spatula, make sure the candy melt drips enough so the 'pops' (marshmallow) show. I thinned out the candy more than normal with crisco because I wanted to be runny.

11- final product

They were a hit!!!

Enjoy!!!

Chic Cake Pops for a 'Girls Brunch'

When my friend Heather messaged me about getting cake pops for a brunch she was organizing for a few friends, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! She chose the choco nilla pops (vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream frosting) and I wanted to make a girly and chic pop for the ladies!!! So, I dipped the pops into pink candy melt, then painted each with pink shimmer, then decorated with cute and delicate drizzles and white mini confetti!!! Aren't they lovely?

Zebra Cake Pops for Audrey's 4th Birthday

These cute little zebra cake pops were made for Lyla's ballet friend - Audrey's 4th birthday. The theme of her party was Dora, so her mommy Julie wanted to have zebra pops for favors... It was so much fun to make these.... Cake is Vanilla with Vanilla Buttercream :)

Thomas Train Track Cupcake for Max's 3rd Birthday

These cupcakes were very special to me! I made them for the little boy that I babysit. Max was turning 3 and he adores Thomas! So, his mom asked me to make colorful cupcakes and set them up as a train track! So, I brought the cupcakes to the party, and set up the train track, then lined up the colorful cupcakes, and for the wheels I used oreo cookies (all I did was 'shave' one side with a knife to make it flat). The cupcakes were 1/2 vanilla & 1/2 chocolate, all topped with vanilla buttercream frosting.
Happy Birthday little man!!!!
